John gives us 3 tests, or identity markers for those who have been born again: Do they confess Christ? Do they keep His commandments? Do they love others?
Only when we bring our lives together under the blood of Christ, are we really participating in Fellowship with one another. Confessing our sin doesn’t ruin our Fellowship; it reaffirms it!
