An update on what IAMercy is doing in Nairobi Kenya.
The church is a community on mission. Part of being this community, is celebrating and mourning with one another. In a culture that does not celebrate or mourn well, the church celebrating and mourning together preaches the Gospel.
Romans 12:12 gives us a clear, compelling compass of just three imperatives for being transformed rather than conformed to the world.
The Lord’s will is that we actively persevere and wrestle with God in our prayers.
There is a growing awareness that Prayer as the power at work in us, is critically missing in Church today. It’s absence needs to be corrected, not accepted.
PRAYER is an interruption, a necessary Pause, in our active lives. But PRAYER changes the world.
Just like Jesus, we have each been SENT into the world to continue His work. God works through the ‘agency’ of men and women who say “Yes, Lord. Here I am. Amen”.
If Jesus prays for our visible unity to be a significant apologetic to the watching world as well as the place where God bestows His blessing (Ps.133) then isn’t it about time we stand together for the gospel more often?!
We are SENT into the world and yet we are not to love the world or be conformed to it. How do we do separation AND incarnation?
Jesus was a man of prayer. Jn. 17 is an extensive listening-in on the prayers of the Son to the Father. We begin with God being jealous for the glory of God. Why? How?
