Praying The Lord’s Prayer in a Pandemic Part 1

Dear Church Family,
I hope and pray that you are doing well. This is a difficult time for all of us. There are many we know and love who are very susceptible to this virus. Should you have any needs, please don’t hesitate to call someone in your COR Group or Base Camp. We want very much to be there for each other in this crisis.
Attached you will find the first part of an audio series I am beginning today to teach us all how to pray through the Lord’s Prayer in this time of crisis. I hope you like it; I hope it’s helpful. There is so much about this pandemic that we don’t know in spite of the overabundance of information on the internet and television, but this I do know: the first and best response we can make to it is to become a people of prayer. This is not our only response, but as you will hear on the recording, it should be our primary one because it was Jesus’ response to crisis.
I encourage you to pray with others who live with you. Find ways. Pray over the phone with people from your Home Group or maybe even go for a long walk together – you don’t have to touch either, or any door knobs!,  to go walk and pray together.
for the King,
Tom
